Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
1. Who We Are
Blue Collar Pro (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a business-management tool for independent tradespeople. We help you track customers, projects, quotes, invoices, expenses, and photos through a conversational AI assistant. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address. You may also provide your business name, phone number, website, and a business logo through the app.
Business data you enter. Everything you describe to the assistant — customers, projects, quotes, invoices, expenses, notes, and photos — is stored in your account. This data belongs to you.
Usage data. We record the text and images you send to the assistant, the assistant’s replies, and the actions the assistant takes on your behalf. This forms your conversation history and is used to provide the service and to calculate your usage-based charges.
Payment information. Billing is handled by Stripe. We store only a reference to your Stripe customer record; we never see or store your full card number.
SMS consent. If you opt in to text notifications, we store your mobile phone number, the date and text of your consent, and your time zone.
Technical data. We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and debugging purposes. We do not use third-party analytics trackers or advertising cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Blue Collar Pro service.
- To process your conversations through our AI assistant (Anthropic Claude).
- To send you transactional SMS notifications you have opted into.
- To send quote and invoice emails on your behalf via SendGrid.
- To calculate and collect usage-based charges through Stripe.
- To respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on your business data.
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with third parties only as necessary to operate the service:
- Anthropic — your conversation text and any images you attach are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate assistant responses. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
- Supabase — your account data, business data, and uploaded files are stored in Supabase-hosted infrastructure (PostgreSQL and object storage) in the United States.
- Stripe — payment processing. Your payment card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- SendGrid — used to deliver quote and invoice emails to your customers on your behalf.
- Twilio — used to deliver SMS notifications to you if you have opted in. Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for this purpose.
5. Data Retention
Your conversation history (assistant turns) is retained for a rolling 90-day window, after which older turns are automatically deleted. Your business data (customers, projects, quotes, invoices, expenses) is retained for as long as your account is active. Uploaded photos are retained until you close your account or we delete them at your request.
If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records).
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Data at rest is encrypted by our storage provider. Access to your data is enforced at the database level using row-level security policies — no other user can access your records. We limit internal access to your data to what is necessary to operate and support the service.
7. Your Rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Opt out of SMS notifications (see our SMS Terms).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at zane@bluecollar.dev.
8. Children
Blue Collar Pro is intended for adults operating a business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of Blue Collar Pro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
